It was Steph’s birthday on the 13th! Yay. We headed out to the Clare and then Sneakers. I’ll keep this brief because I really should be doing assignments right now.

On Thursday, Steph and I had errands to run!

HOvember

Mum, Dad, Bu and I went to Zensation Tea House in Surry Hills on Saturday afternoon. I think we were probably the least zen people to ever enter the building. But it was a nice experience.

There was this reaaaally awesome tea, which started off as a heart shaped little thing. But when you put it in hot water it blossomed into this flower thing. It was pretty awesome to see it just evolve in front of you.

So on Saturday night Nick and I had dinner at Mezzanotte in Dee Why and on the way back to the car we saw an interesting little creature. It was just hopping like a rabbit outside someones house. And man, did it creep the fuck out of me. Still not entirely sure what it is.

And finally, as I’m not really keen on sweet things, Amy made me this aweeesssommmee hommus cake for me. So stoked.

In conclusion:
-Turned 20
-Got my P’s
-Drank tea
-Discovered new species of mutant rat/rabbit/thing

All in all, a productive week.

I can’t really be bothered writing up a proper entry, but despite a bit of drama, Halloween was pretty awesome.

For all of you who think Halloween is a ‘stupid American tradition’, you can go fuck yourself.

Another second lost with every fallen grain.

I’ve had retardedly slow internet as of late and haven’t been able to update anything really. However, after having sending my camera back to Canon for repairs, I got a new one (of the same model) under warranty. Hooray! So I can take lots of photos and post them up again.

Today after basically swimming to Tafe, I found out that my first class teacher was sick and my second class, I don’t have to start doing until next week. So now I have the day off to sit in my warm cosy house cuddling with Lilly. Sweet deal. Before leaving Tafe I went to the Library to pick up some new reading material. I found Nick Hornby’s A Long Way Down. I really enjoyed a few of his other novels, so I’m hoping this will be just as fantastic. It’s a little bit morbid, but I think thats kind of fitting coming up to Halloween.

Speaking of Halloween; Amy, Lisa and I attended Jackie’s Halloween themed 21st on Saturday. There were some pretty awesome costumes, decorations and jelly shots. Amy and I dressed up as if we got in a fight with each other and Lisa went as a pirate. Took a couple of pics.

Hands down.. Best costume EVER!!

Sweeeet party and got us siked for the real Halloween! In other news, my sister is leaving me to move to Surry Hills this Saturday 😦 I’m going to be all alone. Well besides the other 3 people that live here, completely alone. And clothes-less. Sucks. Ohhh well. That’s life.

Oh we also went to Poison the Well on Friday, too. They were pretty awesome, from what I can remember. Heaps of fun.

Im going to make eggs now. xx

So last week was a pretty fantastic week. Lots of dressing up, hair spray, make up and alcohol. The Charity Ball was a fun elegant experience. There were lots of older corporate people and I felt like I was just playing dress ups for the night. I saw Stephanie Rice and Layne Beachley. Sam Kekovich also gave a really funny speech during dinner and some footballer auctioned off the shirt off his back. Massive babe.

Saturday was Prom 2009 (aka Emily and Justine’s joint Birthday Party)!! Everyone was all dressed up really nicely and the venue was decorated beautifully! I was voted Most Likely To End Up in the Slammer. Pretty sure it was rigged and Emily just wants me in jail. Anyway, the photos speak for themselves. And as I didn’t take any, I’m just putting up the ones that Karina took! xx

Cannot explain why I felt the need so stick out my chest so much?

Grace’s date was a bit of a slut.

Just go with it.

Deep Blue Something

with one comment

Another chill weekend. Saturday night went to the Entertainment Quarter and saw Bruno. It was pretty funny and offensive. Ate way too many gummi bears and felt so sick for ages. Slept in for a bit. Then Nick and I went to Church Point… which I think is near Pittwater? We like to do things that old people do -like visit places with pretty scenery and have coffee.

We were wearing matching wolf shirts but passers by failed to notice 😦

Things to look forward to this week:
-Driving more yay
-Alison’s 21st
-Trivia on Tuesday!!

This weekend was pretty chill. Sat around watching old movies (Cry Baby, Point break) and also watched something new, Milk. It was reaaaaaallly good. Although anything with Emile Hirsch is amazing really. I highly recommend it!

On Sunday, Nick and I went to Coogee (above) for an afternoon snack and ended up getting Tapas at a little place called Tango Cafe! Was pretty yummy. We got garlic calamari and prawns and wedges.

We then went for a little walk. It was pretty windy and there were people swimming in the water!

(Note the suicide attempt going on in the background.)

I also managed to spill my coffee all over my white shirt because I’m fucking cool.

That’s it.xx

So I found out I got into TAFE today. Yay! Whipped out the parental’s credit card and its all paid for. So I have to go to orientation on July 21st which will be cool. I’m mainly excited about getting a concession card so I don’t have to pay a stupid amount for public transport. Its going to be weird having a routine again after doing nothing for so long.

So I had my first real shift at the Stadium on Saturday night. I was ushering which meant I showed people where they had to sit. I even got to wear one of those radio head set things which was cool. I had to stand up for 6 and a half hours straight after already working another 5 hours before at the fruit shop. So by the end of it I was pretty exhausted, but it was kind of cool. There were lots of drunk sleazy guys but I guess that is to be expected at a football game. AFL games have a nice family atmosphere and I kind of got into the game by the end of it.

Yesterday I saw The Hangover at the cinema and it was alright. There were quite a few moments that I laughed pretty hard at, but most of it was kind of average. And it made me feel really anxious because I wanted everything to work out and get done in time haha. I’d probably rate it a 2.5-3 out of 5.

I think I’m going to go down to the chemist and by some hair dye. Toodle-fucking-oo.

I had a pretty good long weekend. Well there were a couple of downs, but they were all in my head (or so I have been told). I worked both days and I went out drinking on Sunday night, something I don’t do as much as I used to. We went to World Bar first, but got rejected because after a while they were only letting people in who were on the guest list. So we headed down Oxford St and ended up going to Oxford Arts. Free entry and good drinks. Danced long into the night and got hit on by a lesbian, it was great. A little hungover the next day, more tired though. Spent the entire day in bed watching movies (Austin Powers and Requiem for a Dream) while Nick was being all manly outside and building his fish tank. Then we went to La Botte (in Carlingford) for dinner and had the WORST meals of our lives. So soooo shit. Do not eat there. All in all a good weekend.

Just from observation and going out and what not, I’ve come to realise I’m not cool and will never really be. I don’t go places just to be seen and to tune people. I don’t know who anyone is and I don’t know who gave sweet bjs to who last weekend. And I don’t really care. Some people are so superficial, its pathetic. Building up this social web of a life that is ultimately worth nothing just makes me feel sorry for you. But I guess each to their own, right?

Today I find out whether I got that job at ANZ Stadium. How exciting! I also have to sit an application test for TAFE today, which I should probably start studying for even though I don’t really know what its about. Oh well! Wish me luck.

I got my nails done for the first time in over a year! Yay!
